The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) distributes public money for teaching and research to universities and colleges. In doing so, it aims to promote high-quality education and research, within a financially healthy sector. The Council also plays a key role in ensuring accountability and promoting good practice.

HEFCE’s annual conference is the main forum for heads of universities and colleges, and key partners, to meet and discuss major developments in higher education. This year’s event will also be the first annual conference for HEFCE’s new Chief Executive, Sir Alan Langlands.

This blog will cover events as they happen and offer attendees and non-attendees the opportunity to comment on proceedings.

All comments to this blog will be moderated to prevent spam but there will be no censorship and every effort will be made to reply to any questions left in the comments.
